My birthday present

My birthday present arrived today. And that needs to be mentioned on Wesha's blog, because she will be wearing it. She already has been wearing it. Look:

On one side, it has her name stitched on it and on the other side 4 paw prints. We also have a matching collar to it.

As you can see from the above pics, it was still VERY windy this afternoon. It looked quite bright when we left home... but soon it was getting very dark. And then the hail started... and after a quick break, the rain came. We got soaked pretty good.

Wesha had fun playing with Pepsi for a while:

Stormy weather

Wesha was riding out part of this morning's storm in the garden... Front paws wide, to get maximum grip... and look at her ears!! Hahahaha!!!

Litter reunion

Nicole is organising a litter reunion for us. (All going well) It will take place early March. I am very much looking forward to it. It would be so nice to see Wesha's siblings. Not all will be able to make it, though. But it will still be nice to see the others. We have seen 4 of them in December, at the Retriever Show (Weta, Wakass, Sawenta and Jadu). I hope the other 2 (Loteni and Ekima) can make it to the reunion. I am so curious how they have developed, what they look like now.

Mia & Wesha

This morning, Wesha met Mia, the new dog of my sister in law. Mia was saved from being killed in Spain and brought to Switzerland 2 weeks ago. She is doing really well. She listens to her (new) name very well and she has grown used to people and other dogs very quickly. So much so, that she even ran and played with Wesha this morning. Mia did growl softly at Wesha and Wesha was therefore very careful and not as wild as she usually is.

Weighed & measured

We weighed Wesha yesterday. She is now exactly 15kg. Measuring her height is more difficult. Last time Reto tried, it was about 47cm. But that might not be totally accurate.

Give the dog a bone

Finally a bone that takes Wesha longer to chew and eat, hehehe. She eats the smaller ones in about an hour. This one we just give her every now and then. She found it hard to make a beginning, but once she got going, it went really well.

Braintraining

We did some Braintraining with Wesha today. Reto made this construction out of cardboard for her. She had to pull out one piece, to let the reward, that was lying on top of it, drop to the ground where she could eat it. Wesha understood VERY quickly what we wanted from her:

Because it was so easy, Reto made it a bit more difficult. Wesha now had to pull out two pieces before the reward dropped to the ground. But... no problem for Wesha!
