Long silence on the blog, because we have moved. And experienced some internet problems.
Wesha and Ghandi have adjusted fairly good to the new house and new environment. Ghandi does tend to bark more because of sounds in the house (a door opening or closing in the basement or upstairs does the trick). Some days are better than others.
We still have a lot of things done in and around the house by workers. And it takes a lot before he starts barking because of that. Sometimes they have to go into the crate because people walk in and out all the time and then they'd start barking every time someone comes into the house again. But in the crate they are calm and quiet.
Wesha has her own crate now. It is in the basement and she likes that she can go there when she wants some quiet time. And a cool spot! We leave her crate open so she can come and go as she wants.
We still don't have a garden and that is tough on Wesha. She only goes outside on walks now and she misses being able to lay in the garden. Sometimes she lays in front of the glass door and looks outside so sadly. I feel sorry for her. But we only have dirt.
There is a lot of forest where we live now, so the walks are nice. Ghandi doesn't enjoy walks in new environments much. He is very insecure and doesn't want to walk in front of me when we go to a new place. But now he is getting used to the walks around here and he is all macho again. The only disadvantage of the forest is, that he loves to hunt. So we have to keep a very close eye on him and sometimes we can't let him walk off leash. Wesha is so different, she loves new places to walk.
There are also some nice walks along a river.
Talking about hunting... there are so many cats around here! Wesha sometimes forgets to pee when we walk a short walk, because she is constantly checking if there are any cats around. Especially after it gets dark. So she often doesn't pee on the last walk before bed time. Good thing it doesn't seem to be a problem for her.
While we were still living in the other house, I was so much looking forward to having floor tiles. No more scrubbing the carpet when one of the dogs puked... or so I thought... Unfortunately... it seems puking goes better on the rug than on the tiles. So from the 3 times that Wesha has puked since we moved here, she managed to puke on the only rug we have twice! That does NOT make me happy!

i'm sorry... the bit about the rug made me chuckle. it was always the same with my cats. if they started to make those hairball noises in the kitchen, where there is tile, they always went where is carpet to puke. WHY?! :)
I really don't know why! If I hear it immediately, I can usually send the dogs out of the house. Wesha often stands in front of the door. But when I am too late or not around... the rug must be the best place for her. Sigh.
