Last night, Wesha made a wrong move and suddenly she squeaked and started limping again. Good thing that we had an appointment with the vet for this morning anyway. The vet confirmed what I had already suspected. Wesha has injured the ligaments of the knee of her left hindpaw.
It means that we have to try to keep her calm. Wesha is not allowed to play with other dogs, we have to restrict her running round and jumping etc. It is so hard with an 11 week old puppy! We also have to keep the walks really short.
As you can imagine, I am feeling pretty low at the moment. I am very grateful for Nicole, who I talked to on the phone today. She told me that it would be really good to start doing some "nose" games with Wesha. Games where she can use her brain and her nose and that don't involve wild moves or running. Nicole is going to help us with that and she might even come to see us this weekend to show us how. I am very grateful and very very glad that we have such a passionate, dedicated breeder!

I just cought up with your blog.
Wesha sure seems fun but I'm really sorry to hear about her leg. I'll keep my fingers crossed she'll get better soon. ;-)
If you need any ideas for more calm tricks to teach her you can always drop me a note. :-)
Enjoy with your little red monster.
Thanks! :-)
